EC 2024 Preliminary Website Now Open
Ahead of the official release of this year’s lineup and event details, we’ve launched a preliminary EC 2024 website to help you start your summer planning. This year’s festival will be held on Aug. 16, 17 and 18. There will be three Harbour Concerts, one each evening, bringing audiences together for truly unique, serendipitous performance experiences. Harbour Concert News We couldn’t wait to share this year’s international guest artist, so we’ve included that news on this preliminary website: Nakibembe Embaire Group from Uganda will make their Japan performance debut at EC, performing with Kodo for the very first time. Come and experience the feel-good resonant sound of Kodo’s taiko music as it melds with the rich tones of wooden xylophones and voices. Rather than Japan meets Uganda, we’re expecting an experience that transcends borders and connects us all to the earth’s beat. Trust us: you don’t want to miss this! Big Little Taiko Fest 2024 After a great launch last year, we are holding Big Little Taiko Fest for the second time! Applications opened today, and will be accepted until May 31. This is your chance to join taiko players from around the world and Kodo for a rousing performance at EC. Official Website Launch All further information about this year’s festival, including a detailed 3-day schedule, will be announced when we launch the official EC 2024 website on April 19 (Fri) in Japanese, followed by English content on May 3 (Fri). Please follow EC on Facebook, Instagram, and X for updates!
