Lodging
Lodging in the Ogi area is limited and fills up quickly every year but rest assured: with increased bus services during EC, you can easily stay at one of the great hotels, inns, or campgrounds dotted around Sado Island. There is a list of the various lodging options on the Sado Tourism Navi website Note: Earth Celebration is held in Ogi, the port town on Sado Island’s southern tip.
For assistance to find accommodations, please contact Sado Tourism Association (in Japanese or English) with your dates, number of guests, and any other requests. We recommend booking as early as possible, as summer and EC attract many people to Sado Island. Please note that some lodges offer only shared rooms and/or no meal services during EC.

Sobama Campground
There are plenty of camping grounds on Sado Island, so you can enjoy the great outdoors during your stay. Sobama Campground is the closest campground to Ogi, located at one of the few sandy bathing beaches on Sado Island. We recommend staying here if you want to swim in the sea or enjoy a BBQ. (See here for other campsites) During EC, a shuttle bus service will operate between Sobama Campground and Ogi Town. Details will be added to this webpage in May.
