The Fringe is where performers from all genres are invited to share their talents during EC. ‍EC always attracts an eclectic lineup of taiko drummers, troubadours, dancers, and folk performers…there’s always a few surprises, too! If you want a chance to entertain people at EC, this is it!

Aug. 16 (Fri) from 13:00, 13:40, 14:20 [3 performance slots] Aug. 17 (Sat) from 13:00, 13:40, 14:20 [3 performance slots] Aug. 18 (Sun) from 11:00, 11:40, 13:40, 14:20, 15:00 [5 performance slots] *Please select two slots when you are available to perform on your application form. *Please note that there are also SpecialFringe performances by invited guest artists, which are scheduled outside of these sessions.

Triangle Park Fringe Stage (Ogi Fishery Co-op Park) ・Performances will be held rain or shine. However, this event is subject to cancellation in case of storms. ・Changing rooms (tents) will be available, but space will be extremely limited. If possible, please come dressed and ready for your performance. ・When you apply, please let us know how much space your performance requires, and whether you would like to perform on the stage, on the ground in front of it, or both.

April 19 (Fri)–May 31 (Fri)

・Each act will have 20 mins. to perform. ・The overall time available for each act to set up (load-in, sound check), perform, and pack-up (allowing for complete changeover on stage) will be a maximum of 40 mins.

・Instrument set-up and sound check: 10 mins. (with audience present) ・Performance time: 20 mins. ・Pack-up and load-out: 5–10 mins.

Everyone is welcome to apply, amateurs and pros alike. Please note that: ・Performers will not receive a fee for their performance. ・Performers are responsible for their own transport and accommodation to attend EC, as well as any expenses to bring their instruments/equipment to EC.
