Shimokuji Onidaiko Workshop
Onidaiko, which literally translates as “demon drumming,” is one of Sado Island’s iconic traditional performing arts. It’s an auspicious demon deity dance set to the beat of a taiko drum. This year’s workshop focuses on the style upheld in Shimokuji in Sado’s Ryotsu Area. We hope you’ll give this powerful dance a go!
