Join Kodo performer Yoshie Abe for this katsugi-okedo (barrel drum on a shoulder strap) workshop, which is aimed at people with some experience already. Yoshie will guide you through basic techniques on how to carry the taiko on a strap, and show you how to get the best sound out of the drum. You’ll practice different phrases together, and Yoshie will answer your questions about this popular style of playing.

・Your own bachi (drumsticks) and katsugi-okedo strap ・Clothing suitable for exercise ・Sports towel ・Water (or other hydrating drink)
