[Shiroyama Park Session] Japanese x Western Sound Union: Shinobue x Taiko x Piano
Step into a profound world of sound conjured by Yasukazu Kano (shinobue[bamboo flute]), Ryutaro Kaneko (taiko), and Masaki Hayashi (piano). Kano and Kaneko spent many years performing together as members of Kodo before embarking on their solo careers. They are joined by Hayashi, a pianist and composer whose music for the 2021 film "Under the Open Sky" won the Mainichi Film Award for Best Music. As a trio, they create superb blends of Japanese and Western sounds, with intricate arrangements and feel-good resonance. Get set for a journey from East to West, carried through time and space by sublime artistry. Featured Pieces: KA!, I・NO・RI, Daybreak, TAIHEI (World Peace), Soul Dance, MATSURI, Kokiriko-bushi (Japanese folk song), and more.
