EC 2025 Preliminary Website Now Open

Ahead of the official release of this year’s lineup and event details, we’ve launched a preliminary EC 2025 website to help you start your summer planning. This year’s festival will be held on Aug. 22, 23 and 24. There will be three Harbour Concerts, one each evening, bringing audiences together for truly unique, serendipitous performance experiences. Harbour Concert News This year, Earth Beat Project (EBP) will take centerstage. Earth Beat Project (EBP) will return to EC to share the Project’s culmination, taking the Harbour Concert main stage for the festival finale. EBP at EC 2025 will feature host artist Kodo with two special guest artists returning for the third year in a row: Ben Aylon —a border-breaking musician and percussionist from the Middle East who is recognized as Senegal’s next generation percussionist— and Choi Jaechol, a Korean Pungmul musician and Japanese folk performing arts researcher. They will be joined by members of Doudou N'Diaye Rose Percussion Orchestra, a group who appeared at EC 1992 and significantly influenced Kodo’s music. We are also thrilled to welcome el tempo to Sado Island for their first-ever appearance at EC. Kodo, our 2025 guest artists, and three days of exciting performances await you! Big Little Taiko Fest 2025 After a great launch in 2023, we are holding Big Little Taiko Fest for the third year in a row! Applications opened today, and will be accepted until May 31. This is your chance to join taiko players from around the world and Kodo for a rousing performance at EC.
